Greg, Founder of Vent - Advanced Ventilation Specialists, shares his 5 wellbeing essentials.

The number one way I support my wellbeing is listening to music every day instead of watching television. Any type of music works. I love a mix of genres, but I find that my mood often dictates what I want to listen to. Music is such a huge part of how I keep myself well, it can really shift my energy.
The second habit is cooking fresh meals at least three times a week. I used to do five, but since launching my own business recently, that’s just not realistic anymore. So, I adjusted and three times is my new goal, and I’ve even written it down in my calendar at home to keep myself on track.
Third is exercise. I aim for at least three sessions a week. A few years ago, I wasn’t exactly the healthiest version of myself. But then I started training with a local PT, Ashy, The Kinetic Coach. We’ve now done over 60 straight weeks in a row. It started as one session a week and gradually grew. Now I exercise at least three times a week. I’ve learned that small and manageable is key when it comes to fitness, it has to fit in with your life.
Fourth is making time to spend with my wife, and that has to be quality time each week. Life gets busy. I’m busy in my head, and I’ve got a full-on schedule that I manage as best I can. Being bipolar adds another layer to that. But the truth is, she’s the one who sometimes misses out. So now, I’ve made it a non-negotiable rule: a minimum of three hours of quality time together, every single week.
And the fifth is a more personal one. Every week, I look at a picture of my mum that sits by the side of my bed. Sadly she’s no longer here, but she’s been a huge reason I’ve made it from some not-so-great times to a place where things feel pretty good. So I talk to her once a week and tell her what’s going on - in the hope that maybe one day, she’ll talk back to me.
