How You May Be Feeling And Why.

This New Moon brings in the feeling of hope, trust and excitement. Our last New Moon of the year comes with a burst of optimistic energy so this should feel refreshing after the intensity of the last few months. Eclipse season feels like a long time ago but it may feel like only now the dust is settling and everything that came up has been processed.

Take time to reflect on everything you have moved through this year. A lot has happened individually and collectively. I am not one for setting New Years Resolutions but I would recommend using this point in time - just before Winter Solstice - to set an intention for yourself between now and the Spring Equinox.

How To Take Advantage Of This Energy.

Mark the New Moon with a simple intention-setting ritual. Create a quiet space, light a candle, take a few slow breaths and let yourself arrive fully in the moment. Spend a few minutes reflecting on the year you’ve moved through: what you’ve released, what you’ve learned and how you want to feel as you move toward spring.

Then write down one or two intentions for the months ahead, phrased in a way that feels gentle and present: “I welcome…”, “I’m ready for…”, “I trust…”.

If it feels right, close your eyes and visualise those intentions already taking root. Finish with a moment of gratitude before blowing out your candle, and keep your written intentions somewhere you can revisit them during the winter months.
