Interior Designer Sally, co-founder of Gardiner Smith Interior Design Studio, shares her 5 wellbeing essentials with us.

I like to play to my skills and outsource the things I’m not so hot on. Focusing on what I AM good at boosts my confidence and I’ve learned if I try and do it all I do most of it badly. I also think most of us love to feel helpful and get immense satisfaction from feeling useful, so I don't feel guilty and accept help gratefully when it’s offered.
Running a business and a home can get serious. I take a lesson from my son, leave the to-do list for half an hour and have some childish fun. I try not to pop a hip on the trampoline!
So much enjoyment has come from the connections we have made this year through Gardiner Smith Interior Design Studio. Small business networks, Women supporting women and friendship groups have been incredibly encouraging. Connecting has removed so much of the overwhelm when I’m reminded everyone else is just finding their way too. Plus we now have a top 5 favourite Guernsey Coffee places.
Get rid of the clutter! I donate the things I no longer need otherwise my house starts to sink! My home is a much calmer place for some breathing space of its own.
I find the energy of colour invigorating and love the effect it has on the way we feel. I have just re-decorated our entrance hall in a super bold floral - Thibaut Honshu - and it makes me smile every time I walk through it.
