Personal Trainer Niall, Co-founder of Trainerfy, shares his wellness essentials.

My purpose arrived 4 years ago, wrapped in sleepless nights and nappy changes. My son's energy and curiosity inspired me to turn a decade of PT experience into launching Trainerfy, a fitness business.
These days, even with 5am starts, hearing the stories of the people I meet at the gym gets me fired up. Because sharing my passion for fitness doesn’t feel like work. Instead, it’s rewarding to see clients push past their limits and transform, one session at a time.
I’ve always been sports obsessed. From the thrill of Formula 1 - and the privilege of sharing that with my son at the Miami Grand Prix in 2025 - to the beautiful game of football, sport is my outlet.
Playing and coaching for a local team lets me challenge myself and inspire younger players. My competitive streak means I bring my gym training onto the pitch, determined to put pressure on my opponents to win.
When I’m not on the pitch, you’ll probably find me on my PS5. Gaming helps me switch off and recharge - and yes, when I can’t get enough of football in real life, I play it virtually too!
From childhood Nintendo 64 memories to now, gaming has always been my escape, a way to express myself.
My love for fitness started with GCSE PE and grew into a career as a qualified PT and fitness instructor. Today, I coach clients, run energising Fit2Fun classes, and keep workouts fresh so they feel fun, not forced.
I often join in the classes myself, because if it motivates me, it’ll motivate you. My training style is more than exercise: it’s about listening, building trust, and creating a space where people can be themselves without judgement. That’s what makes the real difference.
Lately, I’ve been exploring the kitchen, experimenting with flavours and creating balanced meals that fuel my body and mind. Whether it’s for spin classes, football, or chasing my son after school, good food keeps me going.
Work hard, eat well - but never skip life’s little joys. After a tough session, I know I’ve earned those chocolate bites or frozen yoghurt as my weekly treat. And it’s even better making homemade ‘naughty’ treats as part of our fun family activity. Where we spend time cooking and baking together, whilst enjoying the results guilt-free.
