5 Ways To Well with Elaine Le Feuvre

Elaine, holistic therapist. PMDD advocate and founder of Holistic Red Tent, shares her 5 wellbeing essentials.

1.  Track My Cycle.

Those of you who know me will probably have guessed this one! The moment I get up I jot down my day and phase my cycle on my yoga calendar on the wall - a habit ingrained over many years. I spend 5-10 minutes connecting with an essential oil, deeply tuning into my body, mind, and soul. This practice ensures I start my day with genuine self-awareness.

2.  Morning Yoga.

With nearly 44 years of self-knowledge, I’ve learned that moving my body first thing is essential (or it doesn’t happen!). Online yoga sessions suit me best, offering a commitment I can easily maintain and setting a positive tone for the rest of the day.

3.  Cacao Ritual.

Embracing my gift of hyper-sensitivity, I’ve transitioned from caffeine to the gentle warmth of ceremonial cacao. This morning ritual provides a soothing start, aligning with my body’s needs and offering a gentle buzz to begin the day. Most often enjoyed in the garden or with my husband/friend /client on an early morning walk and talk.

4.  Dachshund Deliveries.

Given my now desk-based work, alongside my own perimenopause I seize opportunities to deliver the plant medicine blends I create to my clients on foot, accompanied by our miniature dachshund. These walks infuse movement into my day and bring joy to both me and my furry companion too!

5.  Embrace Boredom.

As I’ve matured, I’ve found joy in activities others might deem mundane: prioritizing sleep, cooking nutritious meals, planning work, and savoring downtime at home. The tranquility of silence and time alone is as fulfilling as moments shared with my husband, ironically keeping life vibrant and far from boring.
